Many of my clients lately have been healing and transforming their relationships with other women… more specifically their relationships with sisters and mothers… these formative relationships can have a very powerful impact on the relationships we will have for the rest of our lives.
At the core is the desire for respect, the need for boundaries, and the prospect of a loving energy to be exchanged rather than a codependence or “needy” energy that can often be one sided, where one draws energy and the other gives… creating a codependency.
What does this look like and how does it happen? A codependent relationship is where one person requires attention, has victim tendancies through health issues, money issues, or drama’s in their life so as to always draw attention from other members of the family. The other family members have the choice to either give this person their attention or ignore it. If the victim behaviour is ignored .
