Easing the Pressure off in our pursuit of perfection

I have learned… to take the pressure off the pursuit of perfection… It’s a beautiful thing to be able to ease off the pressure in our pursuit of perfection for Work, family, our looks, our body, housework or even our so called Spiritual Journey.

Yoga Lyza Saint AMbrosenaIf there is an incessant awful pressure from inside of you that feels awful in your guts, of not feeling enough OR a pressure from OUTside of you that builds fear, panic, frustration or an exhausting competition with others, then you are NOT on the right path for you.
The cliche that “It’s about the journey not the destination” is true… with a twist…
The joy found in the imperfections and mistakes is one of the BEST PARTS OF YOUR JOURNEY … the joy of falling over,

the joy of collapsing under a pile of laundry freshly warm from the dryer with the kids climbing all over you snuggling into the warm,

the joy of passing wind in an intense yoga session and everyone laughing with you cause they’ve all been there and you’ve just helped them release their fears and humaness too,

the joy of crying as we didnt reach a deadline, and it releases all the pressure that had been pent up for weeks and finally gave us the courage to stand up to our senior and explain the criteria wasnt acheivable…

the joy of failure to allow us to feel our human ness and REAL boundaries and limits as opposed to some falsely created ones,

the joy of failure to allow us to feel our human ness and REAL boundaries and limits as opposed to some falsely created ones,

the joy of and getting back up, feeling real and honest with our bum back on the ground rather than floating up in the air with everyone elses high expectations (including our own)

The joy takes us higher, releases endorhpins and helps us creatively SOLVE issues that take us along our journey,

Joy helps us to feel better about imperfection to the point where we realised our imperfection is our perfection… we feel better about change, more open to change, more open to realising that everything is happening for our good, the right time, the right place…. and whilst we can prepare and do our best, the rest is not up to us, its up to this joyful journey of life, that will through us those Spinach in the teeth, assignment accidently deleted, Tshirt inside out, days when we least expect them, and when we need them the most…

Enjoy Easing off the pressure on your spiritual, physical, financial, LIFE journey! the joy of and getting back up, feeling real and honest with our bum back on the ground rather than floating up in the air with everyone elses high expectations (including our own)
